Ravens Release Statement Following Chiefs' Parade Shooting
The unthinkable occurred at what was supposed to be a joyous and celebratory occasion in Kansas City. During the Chiefs' Super Bowl LVIII victory parade, shots rang out leaving at least one person dead.
As many as 10-15 have been reportedly injured, some critical.
The Baltimore Ravens organization has released a statement following the incident:
“Our hearts are with Chiefs Kingdom following the tragic events and shocking violence that occurred during today’s parade in Kansas City,” the team wrote on social media. “On a day meant for uniting people in joy and celebrating love, we send our full support to every citizen of the region and each member of the Chiefs organization . . . affected by this senseless tragedy.”
Reports are all over the place regarding how many shooters were involved and what the intent was, and at least one video has gone viral of a shooter being subdued by Chiefs fans until police arrived on the scene.
