Ravens Revival: Lamar Jackson, Odell Beckham Jr. Discussed Winning Super Bowl

The Baltimore Ravens’ signing of receiver Odell Beckham Jr. may signal the return of quarterback Lamar Jackson, as the two reportedly talked about the possibility of winning a Super Bowl together.

Amid uncertainty surrounding the status of quarterback Lamar Jackson, the Baltimore Ravens turned heads by signing three-time Pro Bowl receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year contract worth up to $18 million.

The question now becomes whether Beckham's addition can help smooth tensions between the Ravens and Jackson - and early returns are promising.

According to The Score, Beckham and Jackson "had multiple conversations during free agency about teaming up together and winning a Super Bowl with the Ravens."

The Score adds that "there's still business to handle" as it relates to Jackson's contract but notes the signing of Beckham is a "significant step."

The 30-year-old Beckham didn't play this past season while recovering from a torn ACL suffered during the Los Angeles Rams' Super Bowl victory over the Cincinnati Bengals ... but prior to that, was in the midst of rekindling his Pro Bowl form.

Across eight regular season games (seven starts) for the Rams down the stretch in 2021, the 5-11, 198-pound Beckham Jr. caught 27 passes for 305 yards and five touchdowns.

OBJ starred during Los Angeles' playoff run, logging 21 receptions for 288 yards and two scores in three and a half games before suffering the aforementioned injury against Cincinnati.

By the time Week 1 rolls around, Beckham will be 19 months removed from the last time he played in an NFL game ... but he's impressed in workouts and evidently gave the Ravens enough confidence to warrant a hefty contract.

Still, due to the time away, there's definite uncertainty surrounding Beckham's ability to make an instant impact - but nonetheless, his presence has "significant" potential to help Baltimore reunite with Jackson.

And that alone, before a single snap is played, is an instant impact.
