Ravens Lamar Jackson Trade for 2 1st-Round Picks to Colts 'Easy Call,' Says NFL Analyst

The Ravens and Lamar Jackson are still at loggerheads over a deal and NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah says that the Indianapolis Colts should be interested in acquiring the star quarterback.

Lamar Jackson's future with the Baltimore Ravens is uncertain right now. After being slapped with the non-exclusive franchise tag, Jackson is in limbo over his playing future.

With the non-exclusive franchise tag, teams are free to negotiate with Lamar, and if a deal is agreed upon, the Ravens can either match it or get two first-round picks for Jackson.

A host of teams have already stated they are "out" on the idea of pursuing Jackson, but media scout Daniel Jeremiah has listed a team that isn't on anyone's radar, and in truth, it makes some sense.

That team? The Indianapolis Colts.

Currently having the fourth-overall pick, Jeremiah states that the Colts could be better served trading away that pick and next year's first-round selection to lure Lamar to Indianapolis.

While the salary would need to be worked out, it still presents an interesting option for Jackson as the Colts need a quarterback after swinging and missing on Carson Wentz and then Matt Ryan.

The Colts have some pieces to put around Jackson in running back Jonathan Taylor, receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and promising tight end Jelani Woods.

It might be an uphill battle for Jackson to get the Colts into the postseason, which might see him balk at the idea, but for the Colts' sake, it could be an interesting conversation to have.

With the fourth-overall pick, the Colts are likely to draft a quarterback, whether that be Will Levis, Anthony Richardson, Bryce Young, or C.J. Stroud.

But could they be better served getting a known commodity and MVP winner in Lamar instead of drafting and hoping?

That is the $40 million APY question.
