The Washington Commanders host cross-town rival Baltimore on a national Monday Night Football stage as the Ravens hope to extend their 24-game preseason winning streak.

While the Ravens and their fans might be excited to brag about the exhibition streak, Commanders' offensive lineman Sam Cosmi doesn't care in the least.

"I think it's a stupid record!" Cosmi said via NBC Sports' JP Finlay. "Who gives a s*** about preseason games? "If we beat it, great. We're gonna beat it, so there you go."

That's just one of the storylines to follow as the two teams tangle in the second-of-three preseason contest for each organization. The two DMV-based teams participated in a couple of festive joint practices this past week that included a WWE-style body slam of corner Danny Johnson that resulted in a rotator cuff injury to Johnson.

Commanders coach Ron Rivera has already announced Sam Howell will be the Week 1 starter, so Howell should see some action on Monday night.

Ravens No. 2 quarterback Tyler Huntley looks to continue his brilliance displayed in preseason Week 1. The fourth-year signal-caller was 8-of-11 for 88 yards including a 10-yard touchdown pass to Tylan Wallace in the Ravens' win over the Eagles.

Baltimore first-round receiver Zay Flowers has been tormenting his teammates in training camp and against the Commanders in joint practices. Keep an eye on the rookie on Monday night as he is slated to have a large role in Baltimore's new offense. Flowers' debut in Week 1 did not jump off the page, playing only eight snaps without a catch, but he impressed off the ball.

Baltimore's many roster hopefuls try to earn their spot before Tuesday, Aug. 29, when every NFL team must reduce its roster to no more than 53 players. Washington's 16-player practice squad will then begin to take shape.

PREGAME:

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was on the field during warmups in full uniform. He's not expected to take any snaps, however.

Washington quarterback Sam Howell is expected to play tonight.

Live updates will appear here after kickoff...
