Lamar Jackson's 'One-Man Band' Style of Ravens Offense Now Over?

The Baltimore Ravens had a superb offseason and have given Lamar Jackson a host of new weapons, leading some to think he won't have to do it all himself anymore.

The Baltimore Ravens have done everything they can and more to give Lamar Jackson what he needs to compete for a Super Bowl. After signing him to a long-term deal, Baltimore went out and got Lamar some new weapons.

Receivers in Odell Beckham Jr., Nelson Agholor, and draftee Zay Flowers have all joined the Ravens this offseason. That, along with Todd Monken's vertical style of offense, all points to a period of getting Jackson as much help as possible.

NFL.com writes that the Ravens have given Jackson everything he needs to be successful next season.

“The Ravens' ultimate support for Lamar Jackson obviously came in making him, deservedly, the highest-paid player in the league," NFL.com writes. "But beyond that, they also hired an offensive coordinator in Todd Monken who not only wants to throw the ball, but also knows how to use running quarterbacks (SEE: Georgia product Stetson Bennett -- nobody's going to confuse him for Lamar, but he can move).

"Then they overhauled the wide receiver room, giving Jackson the best cast of pass catchers -- including veteran additions Odell Beckham Jr. and Nelson Agholor, as well as first-round pick Zay Flowers -- he has ever had in Baltimore. The Ravens fielded one of the worst passing offenses in the league last season, but the days of Jackson having to be a one-man band may finally be over.”

With the Ravens, last season having only tight end Mark Andrews as a genuine, consistent threat, along with Jackson's running ability, changes needed to be made. And they have been.

Now, after being a one-trick pony as such on offense, the Ravens are loaded with offensive talent that is the envy of the NFL. Couple that with an offensive coordinator who loves to go vertical, and suddenly, the Ravens can hit teams in several different ways.

Baltimore's offense is no longer "Lamar or bust," as with a host of attacking weapons, the Ravens have helped Jackson in such as way that a Super Bowl could be the next item ticked off Lamar's to-do list.
