20 Offseason Questions We Have For The Saints

Here's 20 questions we have for the Saints in the offseason that will need to be answered by Dennis Allen and Mickey Loomis.

Entering another offseason for the Saints is one thing, but when it's a third consecutive year without a postseason appearance, there should be a lot of questions raised on the future direction in New Orleans. 

While there will obviously be a huge void without Saints football, the next few months will have many parts and pieces to it to hopefully help assemble a better team that will achieve the necessary standards and expectations. Here's a bunch of questions we want to see answered by Mickey Loomis and Dennis Allen from now until the draft.

1. What type of offensive and defensive coaching staff changes will be made by Dennis Allen? Bonus: Will Jon Gruden actually get added to the coaching staff?
2. Will the Saints lose any assistant coaches (i.e. Michael Hodges, Ronald Curry) or front office staff (Jeff Ireland, Khai Harley) to other teams?
3. How will New Orleans shape the culture of their team next season and what steps will they take to ensure it sticks?
4. Have we seen the last of players like Ryan Ramczyk, Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara, Andrus Peat, Jameis Winston and Marshon Lattimore in a Saints uniform?
5. What does the future hold for players like Taysom Hill and Marcus Maye?
6. Will there be any surprise cuts or trades that happen over the next few months?
7. How will the Saints navigate their salary cap overage of nearly $75 million this offseason?
8. What players, if any, will get restructures or potential contract extensions? We've already seen two with Marshon Lattimore and Jameis Winston.
9. Will the Saints keep any of their impending free agents? If so, who?
10. Will the Saints try to get any contract extensions done with any of their 2021 draft class (Payton Turner, Pete Werner, Paulson Adebo and Landon Young)? Side note, I don't expect the fifth-year tag on Turner to even be a topic of discussion.
