Seahawks BREAKING: Broncos Cut QB Russell Wilson, Release Statement - Tracker
MARCH 4 RUSS CUT The Denver Broncos are finally parting ways with former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, the team announced Monday.

After a drama-filled end to the 2023 season that saw the Broncos fail to make the playoffs for Wilson's second year at the helm, the expectation around the league was that Denver and coach Sean Payton would go a different direction in 2024 despite the massive haul the Broncos had to give up to acquire Wilson from Seattle prior to the 2022 season.
The Broncos will take on a record $85 million in dead money with the move.
FEB 14 NINERS FIRE WILKS A Seattle Seahawks' division rival is making a major coaching change.
Per reports Wednesday from ESPN's Adam Schefter, the San Francisco 49ers are firing defensive coordinator Steve Wilks following the 25-22 overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl on Sunday.
The 49ers held a 10-0 lead in the first half, but were out-scored 22-12 in the second half. While the defense is certainly deserving of some blame after letting Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes have his way in the game, Kyle Shanhan's offense is equally deserving of criticism after settling for field goals late in the fourth quarter and in overtime.
While the 49ers now have a vacancy to fill, the Seahawks just landed their first defensive coordinator under coach Mike Macdonald after hiring Aden Durde this week.
DEC 30 JAMAL ADAMS TO IR The Seattle Seahawks have placed safety Jamal Adams and receiver Dee Eskridge on injured reserve, per reports from the NFL Network.
Adams has been battling a knee injury and missed the past two games, both wins for the Seahawks. Seattle can make the playoffs by winning out in the final two games, but will now have to do it without Adams.
This season, Adams posted 48 total tackles and two passes defended in nine games.
DEC 24 BROOKS INJURED Seattle Seahawks linebacker Jordyn Brooks is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans due to an ankle injury, the team announced.
The Titans lead 7-3 in the second quarter.
DEC 16 MORE SEAHAWKS FINES Seattle Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf received yet another fine from the NFL on Saturday stemming from his ejectable actions in the loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 14.
However, two other Seahawks are also a bit lighter on the pockets.
The NFL is fining Seahawks rookie receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba and running back DeeJay Dallas, per the weekly public report on league-wide fines.
Smith-Njigba is being fined $11,473 for unnecessary roughness while Dallas is receiving a lighter fine of $6,297 for unnecessary roughness as well.
The Seahawks host the Philadelphia Eagles at Lumen Field on Monday night.
DEC 10 DK METCALF HOT START Like he did last week in the heartbreaking loss the Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks receiver D.K. Metcalf found the endzone early versus the San Francisco 49ers at Levi's Stadium on Sunday.
Despite quarterback Drew Lock making his first start with the Seahawks due to Geno Smith's injury, Metcalf found the endzone with a 31-yard reception to match the 49ers' opening drive score.
DEC 9 SEAHAWKS FINED Seattle Seahawks safeties Quandre Diggs and Jamal Adams have both been fined $10,927 apiece for unsportsmanlike conduct after some on-field jawing with Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson in Seattle's 41-35 loss to Dallas on Nov. 30.
Ferguson was fined $5,812 for the incident.
After Ferguson caught a pass and fought for extra yardage, Adams and Diggs both got in his face and likely delivered some not-so-kind words,
The Seahawks lost that game 41-35, as it was Ferguson who scored the go-ahead 12-yard touchdown with 4:37 left in the game. Adams, Diggs and the Seattle secondary got torched by the second-year tight end and Cowboys star receiver CeeDee Lamb.

NOV 30 CHARBONNET SCORES Under the bright lights of Thursday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks rookie running back Zach Charbonnet scored his first-career touchdown.
After a pair of defensive penalties on Dallas set the Seahawks up at the one-yard line, giving Charbonnet an easy route into the end zone. The score cut Dallas' lead to 17-14.
In his second-career start, Charbonnet is stepping in for the injured Kenneth Walker III, who is out with an oblique injury.

NOV. 13 SEAHAWKS VET WRS COME TO RESCUE AGAINST COMMANDERS - Much has been made about the influx of talent and production of Seattle's rookie receivers, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Jake Bobo. But when push came to shove Sunday against the Commanders, it was the Seahawks' old hands that reminded everyone they can still make plays.
And still win games.
While the rookies were held to a relatively quiet six catches for 66 yards, Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf made the game-winning plays in Seattle's heart-stopping 29-26 victory at Lumen Field.
Lockett, who finished the game with eight catches for 92 yards and a touchdown, was the key player on one of Seattle’s late touchdown drives, catching all four targets for 52 yards and a go-ahead score. And after Seattle’s defense allowed the Commanders to tie the game at 26-26 with less than a minute to go, quarterback Geno Smith turned to Metcalf twice for 44 yards.
Those catch-and-runs set up Jason Myers’ fifth field goal of the day as time expired. Lockett and Metcalf combined for 15 catches and 190 yards.
“Tyler and DK made the big plays in there,” Seahawks' coach Pete Carroll said after the game. “DK had a marvelous day. Tyler starred on this day.”
NOV 12 SEAHAWKS INACTIVES The Seattle Seahawks have revealed their inactives for Sunday's meeting with the Washington Commanders.

NOV 9 SEAHAWKS INJURY REPORT The Seattle Seahawks have revealed their Thursday injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders.
Seattle had just four players sit on Thursday after having seven listed as DNP on Wednesday.
Strangely enough, Jordyn Brooks was the only one listed as DNP that was also out on Wednesday. DK Metcalf (hip), Anthony Bradford (knee) and Mario Edwards Jr. (rest) were all new additions to the DNP section of the injury report after either being limited or a full participant on Wednesday.

NOV 5 DEEJAY DALLAS INJURED Seattle Seahawks running back DeeJay Dallas suffered an injury in the third quarter of Sunday's meeting with the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium.
The Seahawks announced that Dallas suffered a shoulder injury and is questionable to return. He was helped to the locker room by the team trainers, who were holding his right arm.
This season, Dallas has posted five carries for 14 yards and four catches for 11 yards. He's also returned 14 punts for 178 yards and nine kickoffs for 231 yards.
OCT 15 DK METCALF TO LOCKER ROOM Seattle Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf took a trip to the locker room with an apparent injury late in the third quarter of Sunday's meeting with the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium.
Per the Seahawks, Metcalf is questionable to return with a hip injury. He appeared to injury his hip after falling hard to ground on an attempted catch at the pylon in the third quarter.
He exited Sunday's game with two catches for 30 yards.
UPDATE: Metcalf returned to action after a short trip to the locker room.
OCT. 9 49ERS SEND MESSAGE TO SEAHAWKS, REST OF NFC - The Seahawks, the defending conference champion Eagles and especially the Cowboys have been put on notice: the 49ers are the team to beat in the NFC. After Sunday night's impressive, 42-10 dismantling of Dallas, San Francisco left no doubt that Seattle's road in the West goes through northern California.
Through the first month of the season no team has played better football than the 49ers, who are 5-0 and haven't lost a game the last two seasons started by quarterback Brock Purdy. The Seahawks have won three consecutive, but there is little margin for error if they hope to keep pace with San Francisco.
The Seahawks don't face the 49ers until Thanksgiving night in Seattle. They, of course, lost three meetings last season, including 41-23 in a Wild Card playoff game.
OCT 3 SEATTLE SWIFTIE? MetLife Stadium in New York (well, New Jersey) was the place to be this weekend for NFL fans at the Chiefs beat the Jets on Sunday followed by the Seahawks crushing the Giants, 24-3, on Monday.
Everyone has Taylor Swift fever.
Why so buzzy? Taylor Swift, of course, who is now a centerpiece NFL story due to her dating relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The music superstar was at the Sunday game ... but she skipped the Monday game - and yet she had a presence. How?
Because Seahawks assistant coach Carl Smith wore a Taylor Swift "Eras Tour" shirt into the building Monday.
It was no "Beast Quake'' level presence. But it'll have to do.

AUG 29 SEAHAWK WAIVE BLOUNT The Seattle Seahawks have reportedly waived safety Joey Blount. He made Seattle's 53-man roster last season as an undrafted free agent, but suffered a shoulder injury in Saturday's preseason loss to the Green Bay Packers.
AUG 29 THREE MORE WAIVED Sources tell All Seahawks at SI.com that pass-rusher Levi Bell has been waived prior to Tuesday's deadline. It's possible that the Seahawks sign him back to the practice squad.
The Seahawks have also waived safety Ty Okada and tight end Tyler Mabry, per reports from ESPN.
AUG 29 MORE CUTS NEAR DEADLINE The Seattle Seahawks are coming down to their final cuts, and have said some notable goodbyes. Per reports, Seattle is cutting receivers Easop Winston Jr. and Matt Landers, offensive guard Kendall Randolph and nose tackle Matt Gotel.

AUG 28 SEAHAWKS MAKE MORE CUTS The Seattle Seahawks announced Monday that they've cut cornerback Arquon Bush, tight end Griffin Hebert, receiver Tyjon Lindsey and offensive tackles Jalen McKenzie and Liam Ryan.
AUG. 28 SEAHAWKS' RB DEEJAY DALLAS SIGNALING HIS RELEASE? By our math, Seahawks' running back DeeJay Dallas is in line to make the team's final 53-man roster. With his play on special teams and production as a third-down specialist, he adds value to Pete Carroll's team.
But maybe Dallas isn't so sure about his spot, as over the weekend he posted some cryptic tweets seeming to suggest his time in Seattle was over. Last Saturday afternoon, Dallas posted "Can't wait to see what the future holds" to his Twitter. But hours after Seattle's preseason loss to the Packers - in which he rushed for 43 yards and caught a pass - he commented on his own post with "Such is life."
Dallas' latest post? A picture of him alongside SpongeBob SquarePants, adorned with a smiling emoji.

AUG 27 SEAHAWKS ANNOUNCE 7 CUTS The Seattle Seahawks revealed on Sunday that they've waived seven players.
The team has parted ways with tight end Sal Cannella, defensive end Jordan Ferguson, receivers Malik Flowers and Justin Marshall, cornerbacks Benjie Franklin and Chris Steele and running back Wayne Taulapapa.
