After defeating the Minnesota Vikings 24-13 in their preseason opener, the Seattle Seahawks will seek their second consecutive win as they prepare to face the Dallas Cowboys at Lumen Field on Saturday night.

Last week, several key veterans, including linebacker Bobby Wagner, receiver Tyler Lockett, running back Kenneth Walker III, and quarterback Geno Smith, observed their understudies participating in game action.

It's still unclear if Smith and other starters will see action, as the Seahawks and coach Pete Carroll haven't been keen on revealing their plans.

While some understudies have already been penciled into the 53-man roster, many backups, like receiver Jake Bobo, are still fighting to earn their spots on the team.

The undrafted UCLA receiver made an excellent initial impression last week in the Seahawks' preseason opener, catching three passes for 55 yards, including a 19-yard touchdown in the final seconds of the third quarter to give Seattle a 17-13 lead.

In addition to Bobo, another undrafted free agent fighting for a roster spot in Saturday night's game will be quarterback Holton Ahlers, who also made a great first impression with the Seahawks. In last week's win, Ahlers ran for 26 yards and completed all four pass attempts for 43 yards, including a 30-yard touchdown pass to receiver Matt Landers, which sealed the game for Seattle.

While Ahlers and Bobo require impressive Saturday night performances to solidify their roster spots this season, the Cowboys also have several players looking to secure their job security, including quarterback Will Grier. In Dallas' 28-23 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars last week, he threw for 199 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. As he strives to secure the third position in the Cowboys' quarterback room behind Dak Prescott and Cooper Rush, he aims to build upon last week's loss with another strong performance.

Stay tuned for live updates of the game.
