The Seahawks host the Cleveland Browns on Sunday on throwback weekend in Seattle. Fans in the northwest will get to see the long-anticipated throwback uniforms as the team hopes to build some excitement around a game that probably lacks it anywhere else.

The 4-2 Browns make their way to Lumen Field this weekend on an unlikely two-game winning streak that includes a 19-17 win over the NFC West-leading San Francisco 49ers two weeks ago, and a 39-38 come-from-behind win at Indy in Week 7. The 4-2 Seahawks beat division rival Arizona 20-10 last week to even their division record at 1-1 after a Week 1 loss to the Rams.

Browns starting quarterback Deshaun Watson has been ruled out, so coach Kevin Stefanski announced on Thursday that backup P.J. Walker will get the nod under center.

“I think operating, getting us in and out of plays and has made some big plays when we need them. Every single one of his games we’ve had to make a play and he’s made them,” Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said.

Both teams are just a half-game behind their respective division leaders, and still have hopes of playoff runs in 2023, while at the same time trying to answer questions about where they stand with the best in their conferences.

“What a great matchup for us and it’s the kind of matchup that you’ve got to have if you’re going to do anything with the season,” Carroll said. “You have to play teams that are like this.”
