L.J. Collier Agent Pokes Seahawks as Ex 1st-Rounder Signs with NFC West Foe

In this story:
The Seattle Seahawks surely wish no ill will on L.J. Collier, their former first-round pick from the 2019 NFL Draft. But as the defensive end is staying in the NFC West division with his move to the Arizona Cardinals this offseason?
Well, it is in their best interests for him to not fare too well.
As he exits the Seahawks on his new one-year deal, Collier said all of the right things via social media. His agent, however, is slightly less polite.
Said Collier: "Thank you to the Seattle Seahawks; they gave me a chance of a lifetime ... I'm forever grateful!''

But, added agent Scott Casterline: "Our main objective was getting L.J. to the right team, right coaching staff and right scheme ...''
Scott Casterline @ScottCasterline on L.J. Collier to #Cardinals 'Our main objective was getting L.J. to the right team, right coaching staff and right scheme. Look at what they did last year in Philadelphia. They play upfield. Jonathan Gannon is what you want in a coach.' @KPRC2

The Seahawks are in the midst of a D-line shuffle, with Al Woods also departing and with the NFL Draft coming up. Coach Pete Carroll's team might argue that TCU product - who in four seasons here had 40 tackles, three sacks and five passes defensed - simply didn't play well enough to justify being picked at No. 29 or to see Seattle pick up his fifth-year option.
The hope for L.J. Collier now is that he is healthy and productive for Cardinals in 2023. ... but, from a Seattle perspective, not too productive.
