The Seattle Seahawks notched an impressive road win over a rising Detroit Lions team on Sunday, but it may have come at great cost. The injury report is lengthy this week as the team prepares to take on the Carolina Panthers at Lumen Field.

The biggest injury concern might be corner Riq Woolen, who is dealing with a chest injury. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll indicated that Woolen is still "pretty sore" and that he would need to improve drastically to be ready for the Panthers on Sunday.

Woolen was hurt in the first half of the Seahawks' 37-31 overtime win in Detroit. First-round pick Devon Witherspoon subbed at left corner in Woolen's absence.

Rookie defensive lineman Mike Morris, who was placed on injured reserve in need of shoulder surgery, is now out for the season. He tweaked a previous shoulder injury in the season opener.

Safety Jamal Adams is expected to practice all week, but a decision won't be made on his return to the lineup until closer to the weekend. Adams is still recovering from a torn quadriceps tendon suffered in last year's season opener.

Additionally, the Seahawks face a winless Carolina team that might be without its rookie quarterback, Bryce Young, who appeared on Wednesday's injury report with an ankle issue. He missed Thursday's practice as well, which places severe doubt on his availability for Sunday.

There are also injury concerns for the Panthers on defense, as Carolina outside linebackers Brian Burns and Justin Houston were both limited during Wednesday's practice. The Panthers will also be without linebacker staple Shaq Thompson, who suffered a season-ending leg injury in Monday's loss to the New Orleans Saints.
