Providing a major boost for their secondary with two games remaining, the Seattle Seahawks will have the services of standout rookie cornerback Devon Witherspoon for Sunday's crucial home finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Battling a hip pointer suffered in a Week 14 loss to the 49ers, Witherspoon missed the past two victories over the Eagles and Titans with veteran Artie Burns filling in for him in the slot. He returned to practice this week as a limited participant and was "moving pretty good" on Friday according to coach Pete Carroll, who still called him a game time decision after he received a questionable designation on the final injury report.

Witherspoon could be seen on the field two hours before kickoff at Lumen Field partaking in a fast-paced workout with assistant defensive backs coach Deshawn Shead. Afterward, the coach gave a thumbs up and the two exchanged a fist bump, suggesting the fifth overall pick out of Illinois would be ready to roll.

Along with Witherspoon being active, the Seahawks will also have receiver DK Metcalf and running back Ken Walker III in uniform as expected. Metcalf sat out practice on Thursday to rest a tight back, while Walker has been nursing a shoulder injury and also had an illness this week that caused him to miss practice time.

With Walker active, Seattle opted to deactivate rookie running back Kenny McIntosh as a healthy scratch, leaving the team with three healthy backs available for Sunday. The seventh round pick out of Georgia has yet to play any offensive snaps after missing the first eight weeks recovering from a sprained ACL in his knee.

In the trenches, the Seahawks signed veteran tackle/guard Jake Curhan from the practice squad on Saturday to provide extra depth with veteran Jason Peters declared out on Friday due to a foot injury. He will be active as a backup behind starters Charles Cross and Abraham Lucas while also offering insurance at both guard spots, earning the game day call over undrafted rookies Raiqwon O'Neal and McClendon Curtis.

Wrapping up Seattle's inactives, the team downgraded linebacker Jordyn Brooks to out on Saturday after initially being designated as questionable with an ankle injury. In his absence, Devin Bush will earn his second start of the season alongside Bobby Wagner while facing off against his former team, while Patrick O'Connell will be active as a backup after being signed off the practice squad.

The Seahawks will also be without veteran defensive end Mario Edwards, who the team ruled out on Friday due to a knee injury. Fourth-year player Myles Adams should be in line to take his snaps in a rotational role behind starters Jarran Reed and Leonard Williams at the 3-tech position.
