The reality of the NFL is that it's a business. And businesses are steered to make money. Every season players change teams due mainly to business decisions, made either by the team or the player, to improve their bottom line.

But change can be good for some players.

If you look at players who made moves last offseason that benefitted them greatly, the names Jadeveon Clowney and Baker Mayfield come to mind. Clowney thrived after leaving Cleveland for Baltimore, and Mayfield looks to have finally found a home in the NFL (pending free agency, of course).

This offseason will be no different, and ESPN listed one player from each team that could benefit greatly by a change of scenery.

For the Seattle Seahawks, that player is safety Jamal Adams.

"More than anything, Adams needs a change of injury luck after missing 34 out of a possible 69 games (including playoffs) over his four seasons in Seattle. He hasn't recorded a sack since he set the single-season record for a defensive back with 9.5 in 2020.

"Even if the Seahawks feel he can finally get back to full strength from his 2022 torn quad tendon and want to see whether Mike Macdonald's defense can get him back to his Pro Bowl form, they'll have to do something to lower his $26.9 million cap charge -- perhaps asking him to take a pay cut that lowers his $16.5 million base salary."

Adams has not thrived in Seattle. Quite the contrary.

Russell Wilson Ripped by ESPN Analyst: 'Crawl Before He Walks!'

He's been a disappointment at every level - so much so that it could be hard to recover and call the trade that brought him here a "win" for the Seahawks.

A change might be just what he needs to resurrect his career.
