The Seattle Seahawks needed a win over the Philadelphia Eagles, and they got in a 20-17 thriller on Monday night at Lumen Field. After a four-game losing streak, Seattle was on the brink of seeing its season fall by the wayside.

But against the Eagles, the team rallied around quarterback Drew Lock, who was in just his second start of the season, and came out with a win.

After not having that winning feeling for a month amid a four-game slide, Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf said that the win over Philadelphia has given a boost to the team as they approach the final three games, but there's still work to do.

“Boost our confidence because for a team like us who was searching for a win, just to get it against a team that good, in the atmosphere that we did, in front our home team, in front of our home crowd, and then with Drew (Lock) at quarterback," Metcalf said. "Now we get to go back and basically start over from scratch, we know what we did last week, but let’s try to continue to build on that and finish out these last three weeks.”

Metcalf played a starring role on Lock's 11-play, 92-yard touchdown drive, but he wasn't having his best game up until that point.

The star receiver had totaled just two catches for 20 yards prior to the final drive. But he came to life as he hauled in catches of 18, six, and 34 yards as he maintained his focus and set up the team with a chance to win the game.

But what does he credit for his late-game heroics after a quiet first three quarters?

“Just staying in the game and just playing 60 minutes and not just playing when it counted," Metcalf said. "Even the drives before that just staying in the game, whether it was blocking or being the decoy on some backside routes. Just playing 60 full minutes and not giving up, even on the last drive or the drive before that, just continue playing.”

Metcalf wasn't a big feature in the game, but when his team needed him the most, he stepped up and finished with five catches for 78 yards.

Seahawks Report Card: Top Performers in Win vs. Eagles

While the win for Seattle was great as it kept its season alive, attention now turns to the Tennessee Titans.

The win over Philadelphia will mean nothing if the Seahawks fall to the 5-9 Titans. But armed with a serious confidence boost, Seattle will feel good about its chances of taking down Tennessee.
