The Seattle Seahawks could've not shown up for the second half of Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field, and it still wouldn't have been worse than the second half they had in last week's loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Luckily, the Seahawks came out with an edge to start the second half against Detroit and cashed in as a result. After linebacker Uchenna Nwosu forced a fumble of Lions running back David Montgomery on the first play of the third quarter, Seahawks defensive lineman Jarran Reed scooped it up to give Seattle a much-needed takeaway.

Two plays later, Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III got his second walk-in touchdown of the day to tie things up at 14-14. Take a look:

It can't get much worse than it did in Week 1. That second-half performance left coach Pete Carroll searching for answers.

“I’m really surprised and I’m disappointed that we weren’t cleaner,” Carroll said. “It’s 13 to 6, it’s no big deal, we were in pretty good shape and moved the ball well in the first half. Really felt like we should be able to take the next step and take control of the football game. Thought we were in great shape to do that. It’s shocking to me now that we weren’t able to take advantage of that.”

The Seahawks trail 21-17 entering the fourth quarter on Sunday against Detroit, but it's clear they are putting Week 1 behind them and potentially using it as motivation moving forward.
