Jordan Addison Tells Steelers to Go Draft Him

Kenny Pickett's top college receiver wants the Pittsburgh Steelers to go get him.

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are considering a number of positions with their first-round pick in the NFL Draft, and wide receiver is certainly on their list. If Jordan Addison is on the board at 17, he wants the Steelers to go draft him.

Addison spoke at the NFL Combine and was obviously asked about his relationship with Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett, which he says is still very strong - and if they can reunite the two, they should.

"If we reunite, that’d be real cool. Real easy transition," Addison said. "Come get me."

The NFL's quarterback-wide receiver trend has left everyone thinking about the pro connection between Pickett and Addison. And even if they only had one season together at Pitt, Addison said that relationship is incredibly strong.

"We had a really good relationship," Addison said. "Coming in, I wanted to make sure that I was looked at as a real focused individual. And when I got there, he noticed that. Say we were going through wide scenarios, he wanted to make sure that I was the first receiver up. It started out nice and early. We just transferred that off the field and we built it close up."

Addison said the Steelers were one of his first meetings at the NFL Combine. They already have one piece of the puzzle, and could be targeting the second in the first round.

If 149 catches, 2,072 yards and 21 touchdowns is enough to convince the Steelers they should create the next college-to-pro passing duo, Addison will be the pick at 17.
