Steelers Don't Sound Interested in Jordan Addison

The Pittsburgh Steelers are either all in or have no interest in Jordan Addison.

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are beginning their NFL Draft journey at Lucas Oil Stadium, where the 2023 NFL Combine kicks off this week.

Heading into the week, many names have been tossed around regarding the Steelers' first-round selection at pick 17. Of those names, former Pitt Panthers wide receiver and Kenny Pickett teammate Jordan Addison is seemingly a hot topic as fans hope the two reunite back in Pittsburgh.

Unfortunately, for those fans, it doesn't feel as if Addison is on the Steelers' radar.

Speaking at the NFL Combine, Steelers general manager Omar Khan was asked about the interest in reuniting Pickett and Addison. His answer, despite praising Addison, was less than convincing that they have him high on their list.

"Jordan Addison is a really good football player," he said.

That was it. End of the answer.

Now, before I dive too hard into one said, the Steelers do love to create smoke screens. And if Addison is "their guy," they won't say much about him. But if he's not, they did a great job of making that clear.

Pickett has spoken more than once about teaming back up with Addison, but at this point, it doesn't feel likely the Steelers will make that happen.

In the meantime, they are open to all positions as they scout the draft, but Khan spoke highly of the receiver group already in Pittsburgh, which will add Calvin Austin this season as well.

"We're expecting great things from Calvin," Khan said. "He's progressing nicely. We're excited about him being on the field here in the spring when we get back to football."
