Houston Texans Win Second Consecutive Game in 30-27 Victory Over Cincinnati Bengals

The Houston Texans will try to get their record over .500 in an AFC road match against the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday afternoon.

C.J. Stroud is having a tremendous first season that only a handful of quarterbacks can rival. One happens to be Joe Burrow, who Stroud and the Houston Texans (4-4) will face Sunday afternoon for a Week 10 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals (5-3).

Although Burrow laid the foundation for his Pro Bowl career at LSU, he did spend three seasons at Ohio State. The experience gave him a chance to learn under coach Ryan Day, whom Stroud revealed they connected over the offseason to share their Buckeyes background.

“A lot of things to learn from that guy,” Stroud said. “He’s a hell of a leader and a really good person — somebody that only isn’t looking out for himself. He shot me a text over the year congratulating me on some of the success and things like that. ... He had a lot of great advice for me that I'm still using to this day."

Stroud has the Texans entering Paycor Stadium as winners in four of their previous six games. In Houston's Week 9 comeback win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Stroud set an NFL record for passing yards by a rookie in a single game with 470 and five touchdowns.
