Titans’ Offensive Line Coach Gets Hands-On at Alabama Pro Day

In this story:
NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans sent offensive line coach Jason Houghtaling to Alabama’s pro day to get a close up look at Alabama’s offensive line prospects. The Titans still need reinforcements on the offensive line and will look to find them in the NFL Draft. Alabama has a few prospects that could be targets for the Titans.

The first prospect is offensive tackle Tyler Steen. Impressively, Steen transferred to Alabama and instantly became their starting left tackle. Considering Alabama is a talent factory, it’s quite the accomplishment. Steen went on to start 13 games and earned second team all-SEC honors. He’s expected to be drafted on day two or three of the NFL Draft.
The second prospect is on the interior offensive line in Emil Ekiyor Jr. Ekiyor was able to grab a starting spot on Bama’s offensive line as a sophomore. He finished his college career having played in 41 games. He was named first team all-SEC this past season and could be a target for the Titans on the last two days of the NFL Draft.
The Titans had an opportunity to get a bonus look at two players in Tuscaloosa as well. First, tight end Cameron Latu. Latu is a converted linebacker that played two seasons at tight end. He is still growing into the position, but could be a nice option for the Titans in the mid-rounds. While Latu is not an offensive lineman, tight ends are very involved in the Titan’s blocking plans so Houghtaling is most likely checking him out as well.
Finally, former NFL player DJ Fluker is participating in the event as he looks to restart his career. The Former Alabama player hasn’t played since 2020 with the Baltimore Ravens, but is attempting to jumpstart his NFL career by having some NFL eyes on him at the Bama pro day. Fluker has played in 108 games in his career and made 96 starts. The Titans could be interested in giving him a shot with the current state of their offensive line.
