Titans Mike Vrabel, Derrick Henry and More Give Support to Caleb Farley After Monday Night Tragedy

The Tennessee Titans third-year cornerback Caleb Farley experienced a tragedy on Monday night when his North Carolina home exploded and his teammates and coach are trying to support him as best as they can.

The Tennessee Titans hit the practice field again on Tuesday, but with a heavy heart. Sadly, on Monday evening Caleb Farley's house exploded. According to most recent reports from Lindsay Miller of WCBD, Farley's father, Robert, was killed during the incident.

Farley is now away from the team and is in Mooresville, North Carolina, the location of the home involved. The third-year corner out of Virginia Tech had been on the physically unable to perform list, or PUP and had not been participating in practices or games so far this summer.

This is an absolute tragedy by any measure, but adding in the fact Farley has already lost his mother to cancer, you can't help but feel terrible for Farley and everything he has gone through as a young man.

His head coach and teammates certainly seem to recognize this and offered nothing, but support when speaking about the incident after practice.

"I think what's important it that we do everything we can to support Caleb and his family," Vrabel said with a solemn tone. "Do everything that we can to be there for him, support him. I think that is the most important thing, to focus on him. Everything else is pretty trivial."

"What's most important is that we do everything we can to support him emotionally, teammates, coaches organization. Just shocking, but also got to focus on Caleb and his family and what we can do to support them and be there for them."

Derrick Henry also took a moment to speak on Farley and recalled their time in the locker room together just the night before.

"Yeah just praying for Caleb," Henry said. "Actually, we were probably the last ones in the locker room last night. Just hanging around. I just found out the news, praying for him, keeping him in my prayers. I'm praying for his family. Send my condolences. We all send our condolences. It's a tragic situation. I don't want to speak too much on it because I don't know all the details, but I can't describe how he feels right now. Just let him know we're praying for him, we love him and we're all here for him if he needs somebody to lean on."

We also heard from Farley's defensive teammate Harold Landry after the team was told of the incident by Vrabel after Tuesday's practice.

"I couldn't imagine that happening to me," Landry said while sadly shaking his head. "I feel for him, obviously. He'll be in my prayers. You just feel for him."

An incredibly sad situation for a player who has already been through a lot early in his life. There is no correct way to comfort someone after a tragedy like this, but Farley will have all the support possible from the organization, from top to bottom.
