After calling a fan an offensive slur on Twitter, and refusing to apologize for it, the New York Giants have waived cornerback Janoris Jenkins. Head coach Pat Shurmur said that this was an “organizational decision” and that, “We felt it was in the best interests of the franchise and the player… and the refusal to acknowledge the inappropriate and offensive language, was the determining factor.” SI’s Robin Lundberg speaks with Giants Maven Patricia Jenkins on whether the inappropriate tweet was the determining factor, or if Jenkins’ troubled history with the team led to this result.
