Kaitlin O'Toole: The Jacksonville Jaguars first pick of the 2019 NFL draft, Josh Allen, had an amazing rookie season with 49 QB pressures. He had the second most among all NFL rookies in the 2019 season. Joining me now from Jaguar Report is John Shipley. John, what can the Jaguars expect to see from Josh Allen in year two? [00:00:24][23.8]

John Shipley: Yeah, absolutely. I think the big thing when thinking about Josh Allen's second year is kind of looking at what he did as a rookie in a limited amount of snaps. He only played about 60 percent of the team's snaps and only started four games because more often than not, unique and got was the team starting defensive end. So Allen was actually under utilized in 2019, but he still managed to get 10.5 sacks, eleven tackles for loss to forced fumbles. And he was the first Jaguars rookie ever named to a Pro Bowl. So if he could do that basically as a backup, the thought process is that when he has since the starting role full time in 2020, he can get even better. Allen is known around the Jaguars facility as one of the team's hardest workers and somebody who really makes a point to work hard at his craft in terms of technique. And he learned a lot of stuff from Calais Campbell, as a rookie. So I would imagine for Allen to have an even better year simply in terms of plays made and consistency in his second year, because he will be better as a technician, he'll be more experienced, and he'll see more snaps. Whether or not Allen really amasses the same sack totals he did a year ago. That's up in the air because as we know, sacks are always kind of tricky. But the expectation should be for Allen to continue to get better in 2020 because the situation is perfect for him to simply improve.
