NY Jets quarterback Sam Darnold is out for Week 5. Head coach Adam Gase confirmed on Wednesday that Darnold is out with a shoulder injury that he sustained in week 4 vs the Broncos.

Veteran quarterback Joe Flacco will now start in his place. This will be his first start with the NY Jets. Flacco went 2–6 as a starter with the Broncos in 2019 before undergoing season-ending neck surgery. He also spent 11 years with the Ravens throwing 212 touchdown passes in 163 starts. So could he help the Jets get their first win of the season? Well, fans are hoping so. NY will Face the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
