Ex-Vikings WR K.J. Osborn Says Goodbye to Minnesota on Social Media

Osborn is with the Patriots after beginning his career with four years in Minnesota.

Former Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn, who signed a one-year deal with the Patriots last month, said goodbye to Minnesota in a video posted to his social media pages on Monday.

"Minnesota, what's up? A couple weeks ago, I signed a deal to now become a New England Patriot. But I couldn't move on with my future without first telling the Minnesota Vikings organization thank you," Osborn said in the video. "As a two-star recruit fighting for a D1 offer, a lot of people didn't expect me to be in this position. Still, four years in, it gives me the butterflies when I think about how blessed I am to be in this position. From the owners to the front office to my head coaches to my position coaches, thank you guys for all the belief you had in me. You guys have truly made me a better player and a better pro.

"To all the support staff in and out of the facility, I truly thank you guys for all the hands-on work you've done with me. I truly believe that your work has a direct impact on how I perform on the field, so it's greatly appreciated. To all the fans of the Twin Cities, to Vikings fans all over the world, I'll truly miss you guys. I appreciate all of the love you guys have showered myself and my family with. Interacting with all of you guys in the community, I'll miss you guys. You guys will always have a special place in my heart, and God bless you all.

And finally, my teammates. The last four years have been an honor to share the field with you guys. I've been blessed to share a locker room with players of some tremendous talent, great men, leaders, fathers, guys that I look up to, mentors, and for that I'm forever grateful. You guys know it's all love. Imma be watching y'all boys (this season). It's all love, SKOL."

It's a classy message from Osborn, who was a prominent figure in the Twin Cities community in addition to being an important piece of the Vikings' offense and a success story as a fifth-round pick out of Miami in 2020. After not catching a pass as a rookie, he posted a combined 158-1,845-15 line over the past three seasons. Now he's in New England, where he'll compete for a prominent role in the Patriots' passing game this year.
