Former Vikings First-Round Pick Has His Latest NFL Home

In this story:
Former Vikings first-round pick Laquon Treadwell is still bouncing around the NFL. On Monday, he signed a one-year deal to join the Baltimore Ravens, according to multiple reports.
The Vikings took Treadwell with the 23rd overall pick out of Ole Miss back in 2016. He never panned out in Minnesota, mostly due to an inability to create separation and some struggles with drops. Treadwell caught just 65 passes for 701 yards and two touchdowns during four years with the Vikings, peaking with a 35-302-1 line in 2018. He hit free agency in 2020 when his rookie contract expired.
To Treadwell's credit, he eventually found a bit of a second wind in his post-Vikings days. He spent 2020 with the Falcons, catching just six passes in five games (though two went for touchdowns). Then, in 2021, Treadwell signed with the Jaguars and had the most productive season of his career, posting a 33-434-1 line in 12 games. Late in that season, he had six straight games with at least four catches and 50 yards, including a career-high 87 yards on six catches in Week 17.
Treadwell had stints on the practice squads of the Patriots, Cardinals, and Seahawks last season. Seattle promoted him to the active roster in December, and he ended up with six catches for 42 yards.
Now Treadwell, who turns 28 this month, will look to extend his career again. He'll try to earn a roster or practice squad spot in a Ravens WR room headlined by Rashod Bateman, Odell Beckham Jr., and Zay Flowers.
