Say what you want about Alex Semin and his Ricky Ricardo approach to fisticuffs. At least he showed up when the bell rang.

That's more than you can say for this pair of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers wannabes from the Ligue Nord-Americaine de Hockey (LNAH), a seven-team circuit best known as the last refuge for wayward cementheads.

Francis Lessard, a 6'-3", 235-pound winger whose ability to throw a punch helped him spend parts of six seasons with the Atlanta Thrashers and Ottawa Senators, and Sebastien Laferriere, a 6'-2", 218-pound meathead who racked up 204 penalty minutes in just 31 games last year, decided it was time to tango during a recent game between the Cornwall River Kings and HC Carvena de Sorel-Tracy.

What follows makes you yearn for the grim intensity of a blood-soaked Semin slugfest.
