Liam Fitzgerald won plenty of hearts everywhere when video of him giving Bruins players fist bumps during a pregame skate last month went viral. That clip has become so popular the eight-year-old is among the nominees for USA Today Sports' Year in Sports 'Best Fan' award.

​Liam was born with Down syndrome and diagnosed with leukemia when he was 4 years old but was declared cancer free in 2011, and has become a friend to the Bruins' players.

His happiness is contagious, which is why it's not surprising that he currently holds a dominating 91% in the poll as of Sunday evening. USA Today will announce the winners on December 16th, but we're ready to call it in Liam's favor.
