Canadiens honor Charlie Hebdo victims by playing French anthem

Before Saturday’s game against the Penguins, the Montreal Canadiens honored the victims in the Charlie Hebdo shootings by playing the French national anthem. 

Earlier this week, two shooters attacked the magazine’s offices in Paris, killing 12 staff members. Before playing both American and Canadians anthems, the team played “La Marseillaise” in one of many tributes around the sports world.
