Blackhawks’ Kane extends point streak to 25 games with goal vs. Jets

Blackhawks’ forward Patrick Kane notched a goal against the Winnipeg Jets, bringing his point streak to 25 games.

Pushing his way further into history books, Chicago Blackhawks’ Patrick Kane extended his point streak to a franchise record of 25 games during Friday’s game against the Winnipeg Jets.  

Set up by Teuvo Teravainen and David Runblad, Kane snuck the puck past Connor Hellebuyck for the Blackhawks’ second goal at the 10:36 mark of the second period.

Kane totals during the streak now sit at 16 goals, 23 assists, and 39 points since the streak began October 17th, 2015. He now leads the league in assists (26) and points (45) through 30 games, while being tied with Stars’ forward Jamie Benn with 19 goals.

Four games beyond Bobby Hull’s original team mark, Kane is chasing national records that include Wayne Gretzky (30, 39, and 51 game streaks) and Mario Lemieux (46 games).
