The New York Rangers have traded the rights to defenseman Keith Yandle to the Florida Panthers for two draft picks.

New York receives a 2016 sixth-rounder, No. 174, and a conditional fourth-round pick in 2017 if Yandle, who is set to hit the free agent market in July, signs with the Panthers.

The Rangers acquired Yandle from the Coyotes in March 2015 in exchange for defenseman John Moore, forward Anthony Duclair, a 2016 first-round pick and a 2015 second-rounder. The 29-year-old had five goals and 42 assists in his first full season for the Rangers in 2015–16.
