LE HAVRE, France (AP) The north-western city of Le Havre is bidding to organize the nautical events at the 2024 Olympics if Paris wins the hosting rights.

The French city, whose port is the second largest in France, said it will submit its dossier to the Paris bid promoters on Tuesday, when the French Olympic Committee will lay out the details of the project.

Le Havre is located about 200 kilometers (125 miles) away from Paris and hosted sailing events at the 1900 and 1924 Olympics, the last time the French capital organized the games.

Paris will officially announce its bid for the 2024 Olympics on Tuesday, joining Rome, Boston and Hamburg as declared bidders.
