COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) Former Dow Chemical executive and USA Gymnastics board member Robert Wood is the newest addition to the U.S. Olympic Committee's board of directors.
Wood takes a vacancy on the board created when chairman Larry Probst earned an automatic spot because of his election to the International Olympic Committee.
Wood worked 27 years at Dow, a major sponsor of the Olympic movement.
He was named chairman of the National Gymnastics Foundation's board of directors in 2009. Wood also has been vice chairman of the Indiana Sports Corporation.
