LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) The International Olympic Committee says it has been notified by Dutch member Camiel Eurlings of assault allegations against him published in the Netherlands.

The Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf has reported that a former model pressed charges against Eurlings over an alleged assault last July.

Dutch police have not confirmed whether charges were filed against Eurlings, a former CEO of Dutch airline KLM.

The IOC tells The Associated Press that it ''has been informed by Mr. Eurlings about the allegations made in the press.''

The IOC adds: ''At this point we cannot make any further comment.''

The 42-year-old Eurlings became an IOC member in 2013. Last year, he was appointed by IOC President Thomas Bach as chairman of the new communications commission. He also serves on the IOC's finance commission.
