Miller replaces Steffen on US roster for Olympic playoff

CHICAGO (AP) Seattle goalkeeper Tyler Miller has replaced injured Zack Steffen on the U.S. under-23 roster for the Olympic qualifying playoff against Colombia.

The U.S. Soccer Federation said Steffen, who started the first two games in October's qualifying tournament, was hurt while playing for Freiburg in Germany.

The Americans play at Barranquilla on Friday in the first leg of the total-goals series and host Colombia on Tuesday in Frisco, Texas.

The revised roster:

Goalkeepers: Cody Cropper (Milton Keynes, England), Ethan Horvath (Molde, Norway), Tyler Miller (Seattle).

Defenders: Kellyn Acosta (Dallas), Matt Miazga (Chelsea, England), Eric Miller (Colorado), Tim Parker (Vancouver), Desevio Payne (Groningen, Netherlands), Shane O'Neill (Cambridge United, England), Brandon Vincent (Chicago), Walker Zimmerman (Dallas).

Midfielders: Fatai Alashe (San Jose), Paul Arriola (Tijuana, Mexico), Luis Gil (Queretaro, Mexico), Julian Green (Bayern Munich, Germany), Emerson Hyndman (Fulham, England), Jerome Kiesewetter (Stuttgart, Germany), Matt Polster (Chicago), Dillon Serna (Colorado), Wil Trapp (Columbus).

Forwards: Jordan Morris (Seattle), Mario Rodriguez (Borussia Moenchengladbach, Germany), Khiry Shelton (New York City).
