Olympic swimmer Missy Franklin reads an emotional letter to her parents in a new Minute Maid commercial ahead of the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
“This isn’t just a time to tell you something I think you want to hear,” Franklin reads to her parents in the ad. “This is a time to truly and honestly acknowledge you for what you’ve done for me.”
Franklin, a four-time Olympic gold medalist, reads the rest of her letter through tears, while a montage of home videos and career highlights flashes throughout the spot. The ad concludes with an emotional hug between Franklin and her parents.
