Man arrested after throwing water on Olympic flame

A man was after trying to put out the Olympic flame by throwing a bucket of water over it while the torch passed through Maracaju in central Brazil, according to the BBC.
Police say the 27-year-old told them that he acted as part of a “dare.”

The torch relay will pass through 300 Brazilian cities before arriving for the opening ceremonies on Aug. 5.
