Watch: Paul George leaves himself hanging on the bench

Team USA’s 113–69 win over Venezuela in the Olympics on Monday was notable for two things—the game was tied after one quarter, and Paul George somehow managed to leave himself hanging.
The Americans eventually prevailed against Venezuela after a scary start. Late in the fourth, with the U.S. nursing a giant lead, George was casually sipping a drink on the bench when he tried handing his finished cup to a team attendant. The only problem? This isn’t the NBA, and the Olympic team doesn’t have someone running behind the bench to cater to every player’s drink-related whims. (Forward to the 0:35 mark of the video)

The best part of this story is it gives us an excuse to post the greatest NBA player drink fail of all time—Tim Duncan vs. blue Gatorade.
It could have been a lot worse for Paul.
