José Mourinho to journalists: ‘Google instead of asking stupid questions’

Tuesday September 15th, 2015

Chelsea F.C. head coach José Mourinho addressed reporters ahead of Chelsea's upcoming match against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Wednesday and got testy with a reporter who mentioned that he has previously struggled in his third season.

“The third season in Real Madrid I won the SuperCup, lost the cup final, and I went to the Champions League semi-finals. These are my third seasons. So click Google instead of asking stupid questions. You spoke about the third season, and I’m telling you the question is stupid. I know the point is that the question is stupid.”

Around Europe: Pressure grows on Mourinho; Ronaldo, Messi star again

Mourinho is in his second stint as the Chelsea manager after coaching from 2004 to 2007. Mourinho won the FA Cup and the Carling Cup in 2007, which marked his first third year on the job. He has never completed a fourth season with a club.

Chelsea has struggled to start the year with just one victory and trailing Manchester City by 11 points on the Premier League table. Chelsea lost just three games last season and have already surrendered 12 goals this year.

Following Wednesday's match vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv, Chelsea will face Arsenal on Saturday at home.
