Liverpool fans stage walkout over ticket prices
Saturday February 6th, 2016

Liverpool fans staged a walkout in the 77th minute of Saturday’s match against Sunderland over ticket prices.

Two supporters’ groups suggested that fans leave their seats and exit the match at Anfield in protest over the fact that top priced tickets in the arena’s new main stand will cost £77 next season, almost $112 USD, up from £59 this season.

And so, in the 77th minute, with Liverpool leading 2–0, many fans walked out.

Fans also waved black flags before the game in protest.

Coincidentally, Liverpool allowed two late goals in the 82nd and 89th minutes and wound up drawing 2–2, ceding two points to an opponent currently in the relegation zone.

Adam Johnson scored the first...

And Jermain Defoe the second.
