Watch: Muller ends Juventus's 878-minute shutout streak

Watch Thomas Muller end Juventus's lengthy shutout streak in the Champions League.

Juventus had not allowed a goal in nearly 15 hours of game time, but Bayern Munich found a way through at an ideal time.

Thomas Muller's goal capped a dominant half for Bayern Munich in the clubs' Champions League round-of-16 first leg, giving Bayern the edge heading into halftime with a key away goal. 

Muller, who scored for the 25th time in all competitions, was positioned perfectly to rifle home off Douglas Costa's cutback volley from the center of the box, after Arjen Robben found Costa by the far post. The goal snapped an 878-minute shutout streak for Juventus, which dated back to January 10 goal scored by Sampdoria's Antonio Cassano.

Bayern doubled its lead through Robben just before the hour mark, capping a lethal counterattack. Robert Lewandowski found Robben on the overlapping run down the right, where the Dutchman cut back to his favored left foot before curling his chance around Buffon.

The lead didn't last forever, though. Juventus received a vital goal from Paulo Dybala (off a feed from former Bayern striker Mario Mandzukic) to pull back within 2-1 in the 63rd minute and then pulled even with Stefano Sturaro's sliding effort off Alvaro Morata's pass 13 minutes later.

The return leg is March 16 in Munich.
