Soccer fans remember Simone Zaza’s bizarre, awfully taken penalty in this summer’s Euro 2016 quarterfinal that essentially cost Italy a win over Germany.

NBA fans may not, but guess who’s from Germany? Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki.

Dirk captained a team in a charity celebrity soccer match in honor of race car driver Michael Schumacher, who was gravely injured in a skiing accident.

As he has a way of doing, Dirk got to the line (spot, really) and lined up for a penalty kick. He then did his best Zaza (no, not Pachulia).

For reference, here is the original.

Nowitzki’s finish was eerily reminiscent of Bastian Schweinsteiger’s.
