The 17-year-old American attacking midfielder was sought after by the likes of Liverpool and Red Bull Leipzig, but he will be staying put.
U.S. national team's Christian Pulisic is not moving via loan or full transfer from Borussia Dortmund this transfer window, a source with knowledge of the situation tells SI.com.
The 17-year-old Pulisic was sought after by Red Bull Leipzig and Liverpool, but Dortmund maintained it would not sell him at any price, despite lucrative bids for his services.
Pulisic remains with the club despite being disappointed that it replaced one outgoing attacker (Henrikh Mkhitaryan) with four new ones this summer (Andre Schurrle, Mario Gotze, Ousmane Dembele, Emre Mor), and he’s worried about taking a step backward this season. Pulisic was offered a new contract by Dortmund earlier this year but turned it down and would not accept a new offer right now, either. His current deal runs for three more seasons.
Pulisic scored a pair of goals in limited action in his first season with Dortmund's first team, and he was an unused substitute in the club's Bundesliga opener against Mainz 05 last weekend.
Pulisic is currently with the U.S. national team ahead of World Cup qualifiers against St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad and Tobago.
