In this story:

There is a baby in the Swift-Kelce household! Well, a fur baby, to be exact.

As part of his work in Tommy Hilfiger's Fall 2026 campaign, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has revealed to the world the identity of his and wife Taylor Swift's canine companion: a fluffy female Samoyed, allegedly named Wendy.

In the ad, a Hilfiger-clad Kelce struts inside New York's famous Plaza hotel, where he enjoys some chance run-ins with K-pop star JISOO, model Gigi Hadid, tennis player Francis Tiafoe, basketball legend Carmelo Anthony, DJ Peggy Gou and, later, Mr. Hilfiger himself. At one point, the tight end also briefly plays with an extremely adorable pup as he lounges in a luxurious hotel suite.

Take a look at that below:

Fans first speculated that Swift and Kelce had adopted a dog earlier this year, when a clip of a white dog exiting what was reportedly one of the pop star's cars began circulating on social media. Then, shortly after the pair tied the knot in July, Kelce was photographed disembarking a jet with what looked to be the same pup.

Now, we know for sure that the dog in the ad is of the Swift-Kelce lineage, as confirmed by PEOPLE.

While the adoption of a canine is a pretty normal development in any relationship, it's significance in this case is two-fold: for one, it's another look at the inner workings of one of the most famous couples of our time, even if the news itself is a touch mundane. And for another, Swift is very famously a cat person; she has three feline friends—Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Benjamin—and even posed with one of them on the cover of TIME in 2023.

As for the dog's name, Kelce had previously stated in an episode of his New Heights podcast that his favorite 90s character is Wendy Peffercorn from The Sandlot, as astutely highlighted by Page Six. Moreover, multiple songs from Swift's catalogue employ references to Wendy from Peter Pan.

When promoting her most recent album, The Life of a Showgirl, Swift appeared on The Tonight Show and briefly addressed "internet rumors" that she was "spotted walking a mystery dog in Florida."

"I have never walked a dog in Florida or maybe ever," she said in October of last year. "I didn't do that."

Assuming she was being honest, that would mean Wendy was likely adopted toward the end of 2025 at the earliest. Otherwise, we can square this familial addition as firmly in the 2026 timeline.

So there you have it—one of the most famous cat ladies in the world is now officially, and without a doubt, a dog person. It really is wild what we do for love.
