Tony Stewart will not race at Bristol

Stewart-Haas Racing announced on Wednesday that Tony Stewart will not race in the Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol this Saturday. 

Stewart has not raced since he hit and killed driver Kevin Ward Jr. in a dirt track race in upstate New York on Aug. 9. 

Grief gives no timetable for Tony Stewart's return

Jeff Burton will once again fill in for Stewart as an interim driver.

His team has said that Stewart is grieving in seclusion and there is no timetable for his return to driving in the Sprint Cup series. After Bristol, there are 12 more races on the 2014 schedule, including Atlanta next weekend and Richmond the following week.
