Jeff Gordon and Brad Keselowski got into a brawl after the Texas 500 on Sunday, leaving both drivers bloodied from cuts on their faces.
Gordon went to confront Keselowski after the race was over, angry over an incident near the end of the race.
On lap 335, with Gordon leading during a green-white-checkered restart, Keselowski slammed into Gordon, causing the latter to spin out and cutting his tire.
From The Big Lead:
In an interview with ESPN after the fight, Gordon called Keselowski a "dips---."
Jimmie Johnson, Gordon's teammate with Hendrick Motorsports, went on to win the race. Keselowski finished third and Gordon finished 29th. Gordon entered the race as the points leader.
Keselowski has a history of agitating other drivers. Last month, Matt Kenseth also confronted Keselowski after a similar in-race incident.
The Texas 500 was the second race in the eliminator round of the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship. None of the eight drivers remaining have clinched one of the four spots in the final.
The Chase moves to Phoenix next Sunday before the championship race Nov. 16 at Homestead.
