Vince Vaughn will act as Grand Marshal for the 57th annual Daytona 500 on Feb. 22, the Daytona International Speedway announced on Monday.

The actor will take part in pre-race festivities, including a ride in one of the race's official pace cars before the start. Vaughn will also give the command to drivers to start their engines prior to the beginning of the 200-lap, 500-mile "Great American Race."

This will be Vaughn's second time taking part in a NASCAR event. In 2007, he was an honorary pace car driver at Texas Motor Speedway.

Five Possible Surprises for the Daytona 500

Vaughn, 44, will join a number of other actors who have served as grand marshal, including James Franco, John Travolta, Ben Affleck, Nicolas Cage and Matthew McConaughey. Chris Evans was Grand Marshal during the 2014 Daytona 500.

In addition to Vaughn, Kid Rock will perform at the pre-race concert. Race organizers have not announced the national anthem singer, honorary starter and honorary pace car driver.
