Nephew of Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s crew chief escapes fiery crash
Teenage driver Jordan Ives, the nephew of Greg Ives, Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s crew chief, was involved in a fiery crash at New Smyrna Speedway but escaped without injury.

SAMSULA, Fla. (AP)—A teenage driver involved in a fiery crash at New Smyrna Speedway escaped without injury.
Jordan Ives, a 16-year-old from Gladstone, Mich., exited his No. 18 car before the gasoline fire destroyed it Saturday afternoon. Ives was practicing for Saturday night's super late model race at the short track, located about 15 miles south of Daytona International Speedway.

Ives is the nephew of Greg Ives, the crew chief for NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr.
