Dixon, Kanaan fastest at opening Long Beach practice round

LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) Team Penske drivers Will Power and Simon Pagenaud have the fastest time through two rounds of practice at the Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Power had a time of 1 minute, 7.5485 seconds during his second practice session around the 1.968-mile, 11-turn circuit through downtown Long Beach.

Pagenaud came in at 1.75855. Helio Castroneves, Scott Dixon and Juan Pablo Montoya rounded out the top five.

Qualifying in the 32nd running of the Grand Prix of Long Beach is Saturday and the 80-lap race is Sunday.
