Scott Dixon added to Ganassi's Petit Le Mans lineup

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) IndyCar champion Scott Dixon has been added to Chip Ganassi Racing's lineup for the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta next week.

Dixon will join Scott Pruett and Joey Hand as co-pilot of the No. 01 Ford EcoBoost Riley Prototype. It will be his third sports car appearance of the season: Dixon was part of the winning team in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, and he also competed in the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Dixon vaulted from third in the standings to his fourth IndyCar title by winning last month's season finale in Sonoma.

Pruett and Hand are coming off a win last weekend at Circuit of The Americas in Austin. It was Pruett's 60th career sports car victory.
