FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) Two Formula One teams have announced reserve drivers for the season that starts this weekend at the Australian GP, with Paul Di Resta joining Williams and Nicholas Latifi signing for Renault.

Di Resta takes on the support role behind drivers Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa. The Scot drove for Force India from 2011-2013, collecting 121 world championship points from 58 starts.

Latifi, a 20-year-old Canadian, will also race in the GP2 series with DAMS and go through a program to enable him to gain the super license needed to drive in Formula One. Renault says it wants Latifi to drive in at least one free practice session during this year's season.

Renault's two drivers are Kevin Magnussen and Jolyon Palmer.

The first race is in Melbourne on Sunday.
